WALA’s vision for the years to come is to encourage many more of new and returning sailors to increase their participation in WALA sanctioned events – in particular the Winter Circuit, Metro Circuit and the State Championships.

Club sailors often voice the opinion that “they’re not good enough” to take part in these events. However, the real points about participating in fleet racing are the added experience it gives you, the cameraderie of the sailors and the fact that whatever your standard, there are always dozens ofothers of a similar standard to make for thrilling racing.
